oldman23 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Hi again everyone, Could anybody tell me what type of funny car chassis this is This is how I got it and their are no instructions Just the part number on the trees I think it is 1/25th scale maybe not! Thanks for the help
Smart-Resins Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I cant tell ya, but looking at some of the parts, its definatly of something older I would say! Some real nice parts in it! Jody
Dragline Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 (edited) Not sure of the kit but I want one! Post Logghe, say mid/late 70's! Halibrand rear, 2 speed tranny. Where did you get it? Dragline Edited April 18, 2009 by Dragline
iBorg Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I'm pretty sure its either the Model King reissued Funny Hugger Camaro or something derived from it. These are the things its' not; MPC or Revell. It is not the Jo-han Pinto or Mustang. The rear end housing and seat are wrong for that. Mike
James W Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I recognized the chassis from a kit I built in the 70's. Found the instructions and they match. AMT Nitro Charger kit T-179-6 It may not be the same body but the chassis is right. I'll try to scan the instructions in later this weekend.
James W Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 (edited) Here is the instruction sheet I found. Edited April 20, 2009 by James W
getrdun Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I may not be right but by the look of what appears to be front arms for a model a front engine drag car?????????not 100 percent sure but be close.
James W Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Here is the rest of the instructions. Sorry my scanner is set on major annoy mode, it took a little doing.
oldman23 Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) Here is the instruction sheet I found. Hi Again I thank all of you for your help. James W. You are the winner with the correct answer. Thank you for the instructions. If you need anything PM me I'll try and help. The kit is one number before the Charger funny car. The number on the parts spru is T-1795 but the parts are the same. I had no idea what it was for. Thank you. If you know anyone looking for a chassis like this I will trade it. Just PM me. I received it with some other parts I bought of EBay I edited this to say. In the first picture I show on my post it shows the part number on the bottom right of the chrome sprue. James W Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Glad I could help Ernie. I recognized the central chassis and being the OCD that I am happen to have kept the directions all these years. Those parts seem to be in really good condition. You should be able to get something out of them. Happy modeling.
