To all good afternoon and hope everyone is well. Have some questions about a winter project i will be starting. I have the AMT IH CO4070A Transtar (Rat Fink) kit unstarted. Looking for suggestions on a trucking company/color to go with. If anyone has any suggestions I'd certainly appreciate it. I'm asking because I'm having issues finding what I need on the net as the old go to Hank's Truck Pictures is non existent. TIY.

A couple years back here at MCM, a different person asked about Hank's, and I had a go at trying to see if his pages had been archived somewhere. I think he may have prevented the Internet Archive site from doing crawls of his pages, but I thought I'd have another look into a different archiving page. Check this one out -- scroll down its page and click on (if you are using a mouse & computer) the individual truck maker names. Works for me, I see loads of IH pics, but first I have to jump through its hoops of doing a verification to make sure I'm not a bot. (edit: It looks like some of the clickable truck makes like the one for Kenworth divert to a pointless site with a far east language, but others like Mack show Hanks old pics at least as smaller thumbnail pics, but if you click on those to see the larger image, they divert to the pointless site instead)

Check out YouTube for Bus Grease Monkey. He recently bought a running 4070A. It's painted in 70's beige and brown and is a real time capsule.

Also I am considering using the company decals from the A64B Autocar that are in my stash. Of the four companies on the sheet I have eliminated the Hoosier Motor Freight ones. This leaves Bixby Livestock, Dixie Motor Lines, and Western Express. My concern is all 4 seem to be dramatically out of scale. Or am I off?

Check out  https://modeltruckers.com  for hundreds of possible trucking company decal schemes and some specifically for Internationals.

I use to get a lot of my vintage truck schemes from real trucks that were for sale posted on ebay  - many times you will find very detailed photos of the interior and chassis.

I built a double sleeper IH 4070a from a photos of real truck that was for sale.  The tread is buried here deep on the forum, but I'm sure photobucket watermarked all the pictures.
