Thinkin maybe some pegusus 24's tell me what you think Thanks for looking Hi there, vizio93. Nice Shelby you got there. The body looks very well painted. About your selection of rims, I would suggest to show us what you have in mind, so we can help you deicde. Cheers,
vizio93 Posted April 19, 2009 Author Posted April 19, 2009 sorry here is a set that i thought might look really sharp (they are 23's not 24's) http://www.shop.rpphobby.com/product.sc?ca...p;productId=193
ericmaxman Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Hope I got this right.. Looks very very wicked !! By all means, get it !!
cruz Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 This is how mine turned out with the Pegasus wheels!!! Had to lower it to get this rake....
Zoom Zoom Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 (edited) Those Pegasus wheels will look good if you make sure the ride height isn't too high and the wheels don't stick outside the fenders, as the photo of Marco's model above proves. It will take work, but it will be worth it. You will not like the look if you merely put the Pegasus wheels where Revell engineered the axle stubs to go. The kit is engineered for tall profile tires, and OOB the car sits too high in front (again w/stock tall tires) because the front coilover shocks are too long and force the front hubs and A arms downward, making the front ride height too tall. Cut coils from the top so the struts don't provide that interference and the stock ride height is normal, w/a slight rake to the front. Modify the brake discs to fit the wheels, and modify them to mount further up on the front hubs and rear axle are the easiest ways to get it lower than stock, you can also cut the rear coils a little but not a lot. Then you have to modify the axle retainer stubs on the Pegasus wheels (by removing material from them) as they will be too long and make the wheels stick out. Edited April 20, 2009 by Zoom Zoom
janositamas Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Good choice of body color, looks very cool! As for the rims, good luck with them, I think replacing the stock ones with some Pegasus rims is definitely worth it. Here's my GT-H with the same rims like above:
vizio93 Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 hey guy's thanks alot for telling me about the ride height, i never thought about that. I can get them from my LHS, but i have no idea when ill be able to go. The paint is testors metallic blue. i had to do 2 coats because the first coat was a little to light. I really like both of your guy's mustangs, they look really sharp, i hope mine will fit in with those two thanks

janositamas Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 That is one cool looking 'stang ! I wished I could find some decent aftermarket rims for my 'stang, but there's none here ! Thank you! I ordered this set of rims from overseas, so you can try some online shop from the united states if they serve your country and you feel comfortable with ordering online!
