bobss396 Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 These were cool cars. My dad bought one right after WWII. Used cars and even tires were hard to come by. 1
TarheelRick Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Chrysler has often been ahead of it time in styling vehicles, this is one of them. Just looking at this one, those headlights would look cool on a 49-51 Ford custom or maybe a 55-56 Chevy custom. They are just a bit different than the 55 Buick headlight units so many customizers used. 2
webestang Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Always loved that design. Too bad peeps did not like it when introduced. Too radical for the time but ultra safe design. Here is footage dumped off cliff and then being started and driven away!
TransAmMike Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Wow, that's an impressive car...bet it didn't look that good back in its day. That's some shiny black paint and chrome.
HomerS Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 I have a stock 1/18 die cast (still in the box) and one that was played with (missing bumpers) that will get the street rod treatment....eventually 2
Kenmojr Posted November 28, 2024 Author Posted November 28, 2024 Anyone know if a 1/24 or 1/25 model of the Chrysler/DeSoto Airflow has ever been released?
HomerS Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Franklin Mint did but I believe it was a two door. I know there were 1/32 and 1/43 built ones 1
