dwc43 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 Anytime. And you'll find out that the dist wont fit with the blower in it since it goes in the front on a Ford. They made angle adapters and such to mount them on the real thing. So it wont look so out of place if you have to mount it at an angle behind the blower belt.
vizio93 Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 yeah your right i barely have any room for a distribrator. i will prob. have to mount it at an angle. I would mount it to the right side of the engine (if you were lookin at the front of the car) right ?
dwc43 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 If I remember correctly they point to the drivers side. Always remember when your talking about cars, your perspective is always from the drivers seat. That means left is always the drivers side and right is always the passenger side no matter what angle you are looking at the car. You could also mount it on the front where it runs off the came like dragsters do. Here's a pic.
vizio93 Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 thanks i might have to mount it on the front. That would be a little easier than mounting it at an angle. thanx i'll post some more pic's of it as soon as i can
dwc43 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Can't wait to see them. Might have to, my pc is down for now.
vizio93 Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 i got the exhaust done will post pics as soon as i can
vizio93 Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 Ok i finally got back on this project. I have pics of the exhaust, interior, and wheels i might use. tell me what you think of them. Here they are I might or might not use the wheels, but they do look nice. Please comment
dwc43 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I'd check the exhaust against the body. Looks like they might stick out too far. NASCAR rims and slicks should make it racey lookin too.
dwc43 Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I went back and looked at the first post. I'd put the Cragar's on it like in your first posts. They look pretty sharp on that body style.
Modlbldr Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Nice work, so far. I agree, however, on your first choice of tires and wheels. They give it a better look. I just finished a 65 Fastback Mustang and I enjoyed it. I transplanted a fuel injected 428 in mine. Here are a couple of the "in progress" photos. Can't wait to see the rest of yours. Later-
