Steamboat Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 This is about the third iteration of my 3d printed distributor cap. After much frustration trying to make plug wire boots, I came up with the idea to make the boots part of the cap. Then they just need to be painted black before gluing the wires in. 4
Steamboat Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 Took it to the next level... Why not make right angle boots for it as well? The layer lines from 3d printing are not visible with the naked eye although the camera picks them up. 2
Jon Haigwood Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 are the right angle boots printed as part of the distributor ?

stitchdup Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 do you sell the files? and do 4, 6, as well?
Steamboat Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 I actually hadn't thought about selling the files. I probably should. I have made a 6 cylinder distributor but with no boots, shown in the photo below. I made it a while ago and it could probably use an update. 1

But that is just my thing The right angle boots are set up for 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 clockwise. Works for most engines, but of course there are some that it won't work on. 1
