Because it's hard to paint in the winter, every year I try to pick a build that doesn't need much paint, or at least paint that's not cold/humility sensitive. This year I picked the BTTF Delorean Mark II from polar lights because the body comes plated. I'll be building the 2014 issue of the kit.

I got the chassis and some of the other bits painted flat black.

I got the interior pieces painted gray.

I painted the front and rear of the body gray, I black washed the wheels and headlights and I got some orang and red on the tail lights.

I got some details painted on the chassis.

And I got the body taped off so I could spray the flat black trim.

While that was drying I glued the wheel backs to the wheels, added the trim to the windows and finished detailing the tail lights.

I got the body unmasked.

I painted these parts with some chrome paint. I'm going to paint over them with some transparent blue to try to make it look like they're lit up.

I got the chassis finished and I went ahead and put the headlights and taillights in. I couldn't help doing this mock up.
