fiatboy Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I am having success with Scale Finishes. Each bottle is good for 2 models, if you are a little conservative. But what clear-coat? Can I use Tamiya clear coat? I had to run a higher pressure on the 'Scale Finishes', maybe 25-30 PSI. , but it came out beautifully!
hedotwo Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I use Tamiya's TS-13 for most all my builds including the many I've done with Scalefinishes colors. Zero problems.
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 You can use pretty much whatever you want over Scale Finishes "base coat", as it's a lacquer and will accept virtually anything. My approach is to use Duplicolor "Perfect Match", "Protective Clear Coat", and then cut and polish. I know that there are all kinds of new advancements in clear coats with all of the "K" products, but I'm a little old school, and I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Steve 2

The Grand Prix on eBay, and the 442 through a trade on the forum. Steve 1
