made a trailer

Yeah that is a flat bed Container they ship these over seas like regular box containers only they’re a flat bed. This was a carpet machine being loaded on me going to china it was an oversized load too. See those 4 pole's sticking up that’s where the packer ( container lift) picks it up and puts it on train then on the ship. Here’s another angle of it. This was back in 1995.

Great photos of your truck at work. I implore you to tell us more, both about the truck and life as an owner operator. I would love to hear your experience.

Thats a good idea, Steve .  A back story always makes a build way more interesting.

I might just do that Steve as I finish up this truck. I was only a Owner Operator for about a year but it was a very interesting one

Yes it does Jeff I’ll do what I can although this is nothing like the one I owned I’ll be adding some characteristic  to it like mine had that I liked.

That will be cool Lee. Artistic license is always well allowed. I’m really looking forward to seeing this come together.

These old cab overs sure had style didn't they !

Looking good on your restoration so far

Yes they did the Transtar to me was one that didn’t seem like a cabover compared to others I drove like White Freightliners and Kenworth.

The restoration has been a challenge with missing parts and broken ones as well. I finally got the missing parts replaced. Thanks for stopping by.
