Foxer Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 What is this "wash" thing you speak of? a Wash is thinned paint that sits in the recesses causing shadows. I used India Ink in isopropyl alcohol for the wash.

Super28 Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I know I didn't say anything about your build but it's really amazing the way you're doing it. I'm watching. Thanks for sharing
Agent G Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 The build is seriously looking good. I'm glad to see this again. Terry, Using oils for a wash. https://www.agapemodels.com/2009/04/03/modeling-techniques-a-simple-oil-wash-for-panel-lines/ Enamel tutorial G
NYLIBUD Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I've always really liked Crown Vics. I have owned a few ex detective cars over the years.Got a couple at police auctions, and others by private sales..The oldest one being a 1990.In fact I have a pretty decent size collection of model police cars,in all different models and scales. But my favorite car in my collection is the black 86 Crown Vic LTD,from the movie MIB...The Ford POS..It is a 1/43 scale diecast,so I didn't build it,but I think it's pretty cool anyway. What can I say, police cars are cool.
Foxer Posted September 17, 2017 Author Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) I have been working on finalizing (is that a word) the Crown Vic and at least got the antenna done. It's 3 sections ... Insect Pin at top then 23 and 27 gauge hypodermic tubes. Base is a 1/8 Al Tube. Tip was dipped in Bondix. I was successful using 1/32 Chrome pinstripping tape for the full circle chrome strip around the middle. I tried some black BMF I had for the window trim but it was too old so I'm going to mask it off and paint. That should slow this down. I also chipped the antenna hole in the body, so have to patch that too. Edited September 17, 2017 by Foxer
