crazyjim Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I scratch built a teardrop trailer after somebody their on this forum. It came out okay. I need to build something to tow it around. When are you going to be posting the body and box? Have you thought about email not being able to make over the border??
crazyjim Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Whoa!! I did a post and then all of a sudden there were all those pics. That's reaally cool. I love the trailer hitch - especially since it just slides in like a real one. How did you do that? used different sizes of evergreen? Gonna post a how to do it? I could use the tips.

Nick Winter Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 Ok guys Project "Big Red" is done. I built a second receiver hitch for it this time it's a heavy duty 5 ton class 5 hitch, I thought that Big Red could use some more towing power. Now the modded and rechromed bumper. Now the finished build pic's, Enjoy Nick

BigGary Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Thanks I hoped that it would turn out and it did. Nick, what did you use for wheels and tires? Did you get them from a dually kit? I did something similar with a '55 chevy PU and used wheels and tires from a 1/32 truck kit. Wheels scaled out about 17 inches. I widened the rear fenders using four fenders to make two fenders. Looked cool, never finished. Oh, Well... I like your pickup. Great job. Hope to see more from you. Gary
