WillyBilly Posted April 12 Posted April 12 (edited) I have always wanted to build this car after seeing the movie. It took a few decades to say the least. I think I started actually building it about 3 years ago. The paint is at least 2 years old. I used Testors Yellow enamel, with two coats of Testors Xtream lacquer Wet look clear. The engine is a BBC, pieced together from a couple different kits. I kept the hood for just like Popular Hot Rodding did. Edited April 13 by WillyBilly 15

nickfzr61 Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Very nice build of an iconic car. I should do one to go with my TLB 55. 1
gtx6970 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Nice, I want to build this very same version I just need to come up with a 57 2door sedan kit 1
Valvefloat Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Project X is a legend, respect. Great build. Apparently Lucky Costa is the caretaker of X now. 1

I could not figure out the color at the time of the movie filming, so I went off a number of different pics to come up with what I thought it might look like with the bench intact. 1
WillyBilly Posted May 5 Author Posted May 5 Thank you everyone. It is such an iconic car for two reasons, and I had always wanted to build it.
