6bblbird Posted April 14 Posted April 14 What if Sox & Martin got their hands on a '71 Superbird? According to some accounts, Chrysler Plymouth had intended to build a new Superbird for the 1971 NASCAR season. We all know how well received the winged cars were by NASCAR. The plan was scrapped but what if?... This car was built as a gas class car. Some long time members here might remember this one. I built this car back in 2009 8
NitroMarty Posted April 15 Posted April 15 This simply makes me smile.... I love what-if concept builds.😃
Maurice Henderson Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Really outstanding build..The grafting of the front bump seem flawless..The stance and paint are on point..Job well done my friend!!!
dragcarz Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I love the concept, the superbird nose and wing seem to flow better on this body style than the original. Very well done!
M W Elky Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Ah you can never go wrong with the red white and blue. Nice nose graft you would think that the body came that way . Also nice work on the engine bay . I for one would love to see a complete reissue of that old mpc kit with some upgrades . Round 2 should know there’s a big mopar fan base for drag , replica stock , and stock car 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted April 18 Posted April 18 That's great! I'll bet it would have flown (if they didn't outlaw it).
Tony Coomer Posted April 18 Posted April 18 It would have been a crowd pleaser for sure. Great looking build
