A guy at work gave me a started 69 Galaxie kit that I will be painting in the same color as the one I bought slightly wrecked back in 79 for the 390 to put in my 65,that got me thinking to get a 65 to build just like the 65 I had back then.  The 69 does not have a stock engine so what kits would have a 390 would have the stock 69 valve covers and possibly air cleaner.  I paid a whopping 35 dollars for that 10 year old 69 and miss those days.

Would the ones in the AMT '66 Fairlane be the right ones, Jeff?

They say "Powered by Ford" on them.

Might look at the Round 2 issue of the old AMT '60 Ford Starliner. Has a couple of carburation choices as well as nice factory hi-flow cast iron exhaust manifolds.

I found two unbuilt FEs on eBay and have them on the way,one is from the newer 69 Galaxie kit and the other is from a Mobius 72 F350 so I should be getting what I need.  I was looking at the engine that was in the 69 I got and it's a FE with cammer valve covers and all the valve covers I have are for a 65 or 66,with the Mobius engine I get a truck 4 speed for a future truck project and I have one in mind .
