Claude Thibodeau Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Hi! Found this Revell 612 Ferrari for 5$ at a flea market. Kit was complete, but the engine and transaxle were started, and a case of "glue bomb". What to do? Turn the Italian beauty into an electric car! FULMINE means LIGHTNING in Italian. So: underhood is the battery system, and I've modified the front and rear suspensions to hook to electric motors. Bright red and pearl clear. Freehand graphics on the side coves. Mostly a styling exercise, but fun to do to change from my usual subjects. Viva veloce. Hours of fun with styrene! CT 13
Rattlecan Dan Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Cool look and stance to it. Some clever imagination and engineering. Nice job. 1
AmericanMuscleFan Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Hi Claude, we're there, or at least we're heading in that direction! I don't know whether to laugh or cry, but it seems that even some manufacturers have swapped the good old internal combustion engine for the electric battery. Fortunately, some high-performance vehicles have kept their original lines and your Ferrari is part of this line, hoping that we can keep a certain pleasure in driving your idea pleases me, the virility of the curves are still there! Well done my friend, your boots are walking the talk: Hours of fun with Styrene! 😉

Rest assured my friend: I will not "turn my back" on the combustion engine, even more so in miniature! Just an experiment in variety. Thanks for the comments. CT
