I've been looking at this one on my stash shelf for several years, knowing it couldn't be built stock and look decent.

The moulds are slushy and the trim detail and opening doors were wonky.

Glued the doors shut, trimmed off the vent windows, ground off all the badges and trim, radiused the wheel openings

Found some suitable shoes

Going for something like this

Will be using some of Bill Elliot's 9 decals

Throw back to all the cars I watched race up at Merrittville Speedway back in the day

I'd like to do one, really drop it into the weeds. Those old Ford "cow belly" chassis (through 1964) were used under many stock cars.

The front cross member gave them great strength.

Kit comes with a blobby looking 312 auto..going to need to swap that out with something more competitive for sure..going thru my parts to see if I kept a 351 4 speed ,,,maybe. And steal the 9" rear out of the '56 pick up
