Wow! Amazing scratch building, if you dont mind me asking, where did you get the mesh? I need some for the screens in my teardrop hood.

Thanks. I got it on Amazon. This stuff is #80 mesh.

Oh no....did I call you.....oh, my bad, Greg. 💩  I'm off my meds, sorry.

No worries…I’ve been called worse.😬 (No offense to the real Len😜).

I managed to chop up a radiator from an AMT ‘72 Corvette and get it mounted. It is small but it is cross-flow and it is thick so it should be up to the task. I also made some trim that will eventually be wrapped around the grill.

Oops…forgot to mount a fan.🥴

Well..... as long as you keep moving, you don't need a fan 🥴

The grille looks pretty cool, Greg. I think that's gonna work. Body color?

It’s gonna be red…unless the squirrels come up with a better idea.🤔

An electric fan from the revell 32 series?

Looks pretty good there, the 3 tail light mod is a necessity for any custom c2 corvette.

Red is good, Greg, but that's not what I meant. Is the new smile going to be painted ( body color ) or will you be putting braces on ? 😁

I’m thinking I will paint the mesh flat black and the wraparound trim body color. I did  a test with my prototype grill. I tried painting it black then wiping the paint off with a Q-Tip, but it just makes it look dirty.😕IMG_1614.jpeg.3e0683127b301f1b4a08ea834ca481d4.jpeg

And a bit of contouring on the tail light holes and some preliminary attempts at fabbing some tail light lenses.

This is quite the class on custom car building. I can tell you've put alot of effort into the body. I like how you un shrouded the tail lights. Not sure about the backup lamp. I've only ever seen three red tail lamps on 1:1 cars. Something different. Great progress.

Yup. The plan sounds good. Tail lights look great with the beveled holes. 👍🏻

Thanks Jim.😎

The inboard pair could be ordered as backup lights as an option and became standard in ‘66 apparently. Then for ‘67 they went to a rectangular one above the plate. The third pair of light are a custom feature.
