Beans Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Having never used it for anything myself, I'm curious what you are intending to build with it?? Might help get you a source if we know what you need it for.
Rick L Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Staples is a stationary store. The product is called foamboard. It an extruded polystyrene board laminated with paper. You can buy a 20”x30” board for $7.00.
sidcharles Posted June 12 Author Posted June 12 DEPRON = not paper covered foamboard unless i am completely misunderstanding the sources i have researched. (like xerox & photo copy or kleenex & facial tissue or apples & peaches) On 6/12/2025 at 3:16 PM, Beans said: Having never used it for anything myself, I'm curious what you are intending to build with it?? Expand when, if, i get a few pieces to experiment with, i think it's simply another arrow in the quiver. i believe it gets a hardening coat prior to prime & paint. gonna find out at some point. i've not wanted to join a RC airplane forum to ask, but it's a possibility if either here or Britmodeler fails me. 1

Expand If you want actual Depron, you can find it online, but it isn't cheap. I've seen it on eBay from a number of sellers. You might be able to find it in smaller quantities locally if you have a well stocked RC shop nearby. They may also have suggestions for similar products that are more readily available and economical.
Keef Posted June 13 Posted June 13 (edited) Ive used Ultraboard for building the walls on a garage diorama. It’s basically foamboard that has a thin (.010?) sheet of styrene on both sides. It’s very sturdy (1/2” thick)and accepts primers and paints very well also. Plus I have a basically unlimited access to it and styrene because I work for a graphics and printing company.
