Mattilacken Posted June 12 Posted June 12 (edited) So I had little to do at work so i needed some thing to keep me ocupied, which led me to bring a un started kit and do the basic clean upp. I ended up with a Bigfoot since it have been floating in my head for years and i just got hold of a second kit with decals for a good price so then i could do some thing else out of this one. I found out that they have their 50'th aniversary this year and i just liked how that body looked so here goes, my Bigfoot ‘50th anniversary edition where they have the late '70s ford F350 body style on the newer stadium trucks. So far I have taken the body from the older Bigfoot, which I presume is the same found in the Firestone kit, please correct me if I am wrong. I have removed firewall, inner fenders and rear cab wall as well as I glued the hood to the body. Seems to fit ok. I have also tried to weighten the tires. I also made a set of headers to look more like the modern headers. O and yes.. I know its a ford.. but its one of the best looking fords, and not much is ford to be honest The livery Edited June 12 by Mattilacken 6
OldNYJim Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I’ll be watching this! I’m going to Bigfoot ‘perform’ next month and I’ve been planning a build of my own…can’t wait to see more progress! 1
Mattilacken Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 Made some progress. Made chassis changes to resemble the later style stadium trucks.
Sledsel Posted November 14 Posted November 14 My favorite Bigfoot!!! This will be cool. Be sure to open up the windshield at the top. AMT messed this up. Here is a reference pic. 1

Mattilacken Posted Tuesday at 08:24 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 08:24 AM (edited) I did cut 4 other tires to transplant the ”outer” side of the tire and cut the inner to make a tire that have the same wheel diameter, which these don’t.. Edited Tuesday at 08:25 AM by Mattilacken 1
MurfTwice Posted Tuesday at 11:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:45 PM Nice looking build so far. I built one like this but not with the 50th paint scheme.
Mattilacken Posted Wednesday at 08:02 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 08:02 PM It’s blue! And some parts are gold. Was hard to put thin coats of gold, it was TS21 decanted so I had an issue but it will be ok. 1
Mattilacken Posted Thursday at 08:21 PM Author Posted Thursday at 08:21 PM Some decals.. not exactly as the 1:1 but good enough for me! Would like to have the numbers but I won’t paint them. 3
Mattilacken Posted Friday at 03:17 PM Author Posted Friday at 03:17 PM I started on the engine… and it’s a plastic blob.. and from 1992.. so some thing had to be done.
Mattilacken Posted yesterday at 08:18 PM Author Posted yesterday at 08:18 PM I remember that my daughter got a kit for doing nail art recently.. and in there I found gold tape which is thin enough to try doing the numbers. So here we go.. 1
