So it's done. I found some decals to name her with. These came out of the Challenger funny car kit and were designed by Sven.  It's a great sheet that has rendered more than a few good things.

Yes, this really sails. And yes, I have no idea what to do with it. Perhaps I'll sail it at the park.

I plan to. Apparently kids still sail boats in the pond at my local park. There are the radio controlled types, but I am told old school boats like this are common.
