Dennis Lacy Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Just received these 5 1:25 scale hot rod bodies from Drag City Casting and as usual, the quality is second to none. The masters are highly polished so each body comes out of the mold smooth and flawless. They have no residual mold seams from the kit bodies they were mastered from and are the exact same thickness as the kit bodies they are meant to fit so the interior assemblies from those kits fit perfectly. The 32 3-Window is a direct replacement for Revell’s 32 3-Window. The 32 Sedans are direct replacements for Revell’s 32 Sedan. The 32’s also include matching chopped windshield frames. The 34 5-Window is a direct replacement for AMT’s 34 5-Window and the flip nose 41 Willys is a direct replacement for Revell’s 41 Willys modern tool gassers. It is up to the builder to fabricate a hinge mechanism. Drag City Casting can be found on Facebook or emailed directly at: “lowcab36@epix.net 5
Calb56 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I just got the Willys body in the new resin Ed is using. It's remarkable. I have a couple of his 32 Ford bodies with previous resin. As great as they are I really love the new resin he's using. Don't regret not getting his work, like I do with some of his previous work that he no longer casts 1

Jon Haigwood Posted Wednesday at 03:52 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:52 PM I have bought several of his bodies and hoods over the years and his stuff is top notch. (still waiting for him to carry a chopped 34 3window)
krassandbernie Posted Thursday at 03:17 PM Posted Thursday at 03:17 PM Thanks for the post (Dennis), and the kind words! The chopped '34 Ford 5 window coupe body is just about off-line for good. It will be discontinued indefinitely since the master did not hold up this last time from previous repairs and re-chopping the roof.....after making 3 new molds in a row. I now have less than 20 of these bodies in stock and will likely only get a few more out of the molds if that. The front splash aprons for it have not been available in over 15 years now and are not included with the body. The splash aprons in the kit have a huge notch cut out of the center so I molded these. Craig Turner mastered them and offered them to me a long time ago. They can be ordered along with the coupe body (or if you order something else they can be added to an order). I have gotten away from offering small parts since they eat up too much time for too little profit being a one-man operation. So, I will not ship a set of splash aprons alone I am sorry to say.
jangus Posted Thursday at 03:43 PM Posted Thursday at 03:43 PM Ed's stuff is first rate for sure. I should probably do an inventory to see what I have of his, and what I should be ordering more of.
