gtx6970 Posted Wednesday at 08:10 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:10 PM (edited) This is MY way of trying to replicate the wrinkle finished Hemi valve covers on Hemi street cars Strip the chrome, ( I use oven cleaner ) 2 light coats of primer, black is avail . Ive used both black and grey with no changes 1 kinda light coat of the wrinkle paint. Ive been using VHT brand , pick it up at my local auto parts chain store Let that sit in the sun maybe 5 - 10 minutes Then a second coat a little wet Let that sit in the sun maybe 20 minutes, Gives you this . IMO it yields the most correct finish in my eyes to date. I build A lot of mopar muscle cars and I've tired several different paints - methods My photos makes the finish look a lot more pronounced than it actually is. In reality it looks so much better than anything I've tried to date Simply sharing My method Edited 21 hours ago by gtx6970 3 2
