Welcome to the forums Timothy. Great start on your project. It looks like you are taking a very methodical approach to the layout of your frame and cage. They look excellent!👍

Looks fantastic! What are you using to ensure the frame is straight? I would really like to try something like this using styrene rod/tube myself before stepping up to soldering brass tube.

I'm just using folded paper, I use the folded paper as a frame stencil for the cage and lots of eyeball work with reference photos, what I've done is measured the inside of the cab side to side and then front to back once that's done I use styrene tubing and brass rods inside the tubing for support every piece should be bent into place so that it fits if things are squeezed into place it warps the whole thing for the frame I cut styrene sheets and glued them together to make square tubing and put filed copper rods inside the frame for rigidity in the photos you can see I had to cut the front end and lengthen it I'm going to be working on the truck some more in the next little while, until next time happy building

Hey what's up everyone, I'm back with some more progress photos, I woke up today and discovered some separation with the joints on the frame and cage nothing a bit of thin cement can't fix, it's been a process but going great I finished the shock towers and some other pieces, I'll be starting the bottom half of the chassis and see what happens with that, I've got a little system so nothing goes wrong, let me know what you think I'll see you on the next one 😎👍👋

Hello everyone I'm back with some achievements in this project, here's where we are, I did notice that the right side of the chassis is in scale inches about 2 1/2" or more lower than the left side so I'm going to cut the top off a bit and see if that works, so far we're looking good 👍 😊

I'm now getting some serious scratch building happening with the linkages here's a look at the process so far

So many processes but I carry on, once the brackets are on the chassis I'll paint it and then continue my work on the "Frankenstein" engine I have to say this is the first highest detailed model I've ever built it's going to be a milestone once the paint flies, happy building everyone 😎💯👍🎉
