Andria H Posted yesterday at 02:31 AM Posted yesterday at 02:31 AM Started with a horrible looking partial Revell '49 Mercury Eight woodie. A sought after kit but not able to be built stock. I stripped/washed/dried the body here and painted it in Colonial Red Gloss Rusty-O rattle can. The interior will be a combination of the dash cradle/floors and everything but the door cards and rear seat from the AMT/Ertl '49 sedan donor kit interior with the Revell rear floor panel, seats (AMT front seat may be reworked into a third row seat) and door cards/tailgate panel, chassis/interior will be standard stock '49 Mercury fare with wood trim painted in Tamiya Color Buff with brown paint marker to fill in the darker panels, headliner will be fully detailed as well, and wheels/tires will be as usual for a '49 Mercury woodie. To be continued. 3
Sledsel Posted yesterday at 03:44 AM Posted yesterday at 03:44 AM Great color. Paint looks as if came out really smooth although it looks a bit heavy. Could be the pics though. Chrome is gonna pop on that red for sure! 1
