69 COPO Camaro kit (contents?)

I notice that AMT has a 69 COPO Camaro kit, Hot Wheels edition in their up & coming releases, my question is this, will this new kit have engine/transmission and the parts to build a complete car, or will it be one of those "curbside/snap type" skill level 0, kits?  Anyone that might know????

Based on the 69 Cougar it will have all the normal parts plus some big wheels and maybe some Hotwheels style engine dress up parts. It probably won't have any stock decals though.

It is a "normal" kit and not a curbside/Craftsman kit.

It is not a great kit, and I would not recommend it. It is worth the extra time and money to get a Revell 69 Yenko Camaro.

I am not an AMT hater or a Revell lover however in this case the AMT (formerly MPC) Yenko is one of AMT's poorer kits while the Revell Yenko is one of Revell's best kits.

This is a Revell Yenko I built years ago (I altered the wheels and stance to personal taste).

Back in 2008 Revell issued this version of it's 69 Camaro in a snap kit with Hot Wheels logo on the box. IMO, this curbside kit builds up nicer than the upcoming AMT kit as the body is better proportioned.  Funny how the license has been shared over the years.

The reason I'm asking about this, I need a GOOD 1/25 scale 69 Camaro kit to build a replica of a friend's car (we lost Dean in a wreck back in 1978).  His car was a 1969 RS/SS 396, 4-spd Camaro.  Was set up to race "brackets", and was raced primarily at I-20 Dragstrip in Tyler, Texas.  Occasionally ran at Hallsville Dragstrip.

Been a lot of years, and seeing that kit, guess it's finally time to honor him.  Ran his license plates on my last racecar  (OLE SS on the rear, and USA-1 front), they hang on the wall in the garage to this day.  Don't mind spending some extra money for a really decent kit, just need the help to get the right one.

You can’t go wrong with any of the Revell 69 Camaro kits.

If you don't have any particular attachment to the AMT kit the Revell kit is superior in just about every way. There was an SS 396 version out very recently and should be relatively easy to find. That kit, the Yenko, COPO, and Baldwin Motion versions all have big blocks. Most of the difference is in the wheels and hoods though there are a few other things. Most if not every version of this comes with both grilles. Here is pic of the SS 396 box art.
