Currently working on the Revell '76 Gran Torino. As a kid growing up in the 70's I have a real soft spot for cars from this time, especially typical daily rides that I would have seen in my neighbourhood back then.

First car kit I've built in more than 40+ years, and it's going together nicely. I don't know if this is considered a "good" kit, but I'm really enjoying so far.

I've got the engine and chassis built and just finishing up painting before installing them.I ended up mixing up some blue for the engine, as I couldn't really find anything at my hobbyshop. I know Testors makes (made?) a Ford engine blue, but they didn't have any stock. I tried to match it with pictures I got on line. I think I got pretty close. I left it a bit brighter, because I want to do some oil washes and weathering.

Cool kit. They must've built a blue million Torinos. They was everywhere! The engine color looks great. What color are you painting the car?

I'm going to go with Metallic Silver, and  a blue interior. Apparently that was one of the dealer options back then. I just need to figure out how I'm going to paint the vinyl. That interior blue looks a bit challenging...
