fordf-100 Posted Monday at 02:01 PM Posted Monday at 02:01 PM Hi all, I’m looking for 2 hoods, an original 1/25 scale AMT 64 GTO hood and an original 1/25 scale MPC 68/69 GTO hood. I picked up really nice built ups of both these over the weekend and they are both missing hoods, any help would be appreciated and I have lots of parts to trade! Thanks!

Not sure what the fit would be like but I bet you could make the hood from one of these work. it's 1/25. They're both the same kit.

I think I have one of these, totally forgot about these, I was thinking of trying to cut the monogram down but I don’t know if the beak would line up well since it’s 1/24. 1
chryslerjunkandstuff Posted Tuesday at 12:33 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:33 AM Those Polar Lights hoods fit OK, and I'm like 91% sure that the hood from the new Craftsman Plus '68 GTO will fit the old MPC body just fine!

Yeah I thought the same thing, I just didn’t want to buy one of those just to cut the hood out and then have another kit that needs a hood!🤣🤣🤣

Thing is, if we sent you the hood from one of ours then WE'D have a kit in need of a hood. 😥😁 But at least you know they're out there. BTW, a hood from an MPC original '69 , '70 or '70 reissue will also fit the '68 perfectly. Bought a cleanly built '68 annual a couple years ago. Stripped it and found the hood to be one molded in grey from the '70 reissue. 1

That’s right I forgot they are separate as I have a couple of those, interesting about the 70 cause I think I have a couple junkers that could donate a hood, I need to dig those out! Thanks!
