martsky Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Out of curiosity (stupidity?) I just ordered a Fujimi over fender set #1. Does anybody know if the flares are specific to individual kits or are they just cartoons? Thanks
Matt Bacon Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) I think they were all originally tooled up as “tuner parts” in specific boxings of JDM kits. There are some that are pretty extreme, and others that can be more easily adapted. I’m glad I have them as a starting point, but whenever I’ve gone to think about using them, it’s felt like it would be a lot of work for the mods I have in mind… beat, M. martsky Posted October 2 Author Posted October 2 Just got the box today. What a strange and wonderful bunch of stuff. Maybe some will end up being useful. M

martsky Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 Hi Les, See picture below. I was hoping for something to go with my Revell 240Z kit but I have yet to trial fit any of them. I will definitely not use the square top flares nor probably not the full body sets. There are a few nice hidden things there including oil coolers, intercoolers and steering wheels. Bear in mind, this is only set #1 of three. You can collect all three and amaze your friends. I'll probably try to find uses for the rounded top flares but if any of the rest of the sets appeal to anyone they can be yours after a minimal donation to this web site. Marty 2 1
oldcarfan Posted Sunday at 12:18 AM Posted Sunday at 12:18 AM I think these were designed for specific kits, does anyone know which kits they fit? I've put them on the watch list several times and decided to wait. Also, those square top flares might work on a pickup truck of some kind .
stitchdup Posted Sunday at 10:04 AM Posted Sunday at 10:04 AM some fit specific cars but others are for those wild vans they build in japan. the square ones were used in the 70s
