OldTrucker Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Building a replica of one I owned in the late 70's when we lived in Wisconsin. Will be a metallic blue with whinvoice. It is a car the boys at Team Chevelle said never existed but I had the factory paperwork and dealer invoice. Was a Malibu with a 396 4 speed. 5
johnyrotten Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Great start on your build, was the actual car special order or an odd combination of options?

Everything spelled SS except for trim and badging! The build sheet showed the 396 was factory installed. 1
OldTrucker Posted Monday at 09:19 PM Author Posted Monday at 09:19 PM Got the blue done today, just need the silver color along the bottom below the trim.. Don't know if I'll get it done soon. Go next month for a reverse shoulder replacement surgery . 2
Evan_N Posted Wednesday at 06:49 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:49 PM Following this one. My dad had a 69 Chevelle when I was a little kid. I loved that car

Healed pretty quickly. Only issue I am having is raising my arm above the shoulder line which I can do with the unaffected one and reaching around behind my back; have to thread my belt before putting pants on. At last appointment doctor told me that would be normal and to get used to it. Sure wish he would have told me before the surgery.
Badge73 Posted Wednesday at 09:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:33 PM Was this a soft top? Our Malibu was a soft top. I will keep an eye on this build, doing some nice work to start.
Shark Posted Wednesday at 11:59 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:59 PM Wishing you well on your upcoming surgery. I had standard replacement about 3 years ago and it went extremely well.

The surgeon told me the limitations I will have, but the rotator cuff is so bad if they do the conventional one I would be back in a couple years to do it this way. My left one is bad too.
