Custom Body MiniCharger Nostalgia build

This build will be a nostalgia car with a narrow frame, Hemi engine with single plug/cylinder, etc. Inspired by the first nitro cars I saw in the early 70s at Utica-Rome Speedway in upstate NY. The original car was based in Utica. The body came from an ebay find, the 3D printed engine, rear slicks, rims and front rims donated by my good friend and master builder Codi. The chassis and engine is somewhat modeled after the Stone, Woods, Cook Mustang F/C. The dark nighttime image is one I took at that race at Utica-Rome. The car he ran against that night was Paula Murphy's STP Duster. The race that got me hooked! Now my son, grandson, and I go to Maple Grove every September.

These headers from ebay will also go on the car. The image is a before and after shot, getting rid of the excess plastic between the pipes. I started with a Tamiya photoetch saw blade and then a Flexifile with 3 different grits to finish up.
