Even if I was a billionaire, I wouldn’t piss away this kind of money on an oil change!

Just ridiculous that these “supposedly” finely engineered cars can’t be engineered to make maintenance somewhat normal.

Makes it quite evident to me that these companies view their clientele as cash cows to be milked for every cent possible at every opportunity, and apparently their clients are willing to shell out giant wads of cash just to compensate for their tiny……..

Oops, I better stop there. 😉

Unfortunately, you're probably right.

If one can afford $1 million plus for a car, then really, $20k for an oil service is pocket change.

And the even sadder reality is that most of these owners don't bother with the oil changes, because they never get driven. Just go poke around Bring A Trailer. The number of hypercars and exotics that are 5 years old, with 1500 miles, and 6 previous owners is staggering.

I mean, check this one out. 2008 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 for sale on BaT Auctions - closed on June 13, 2025 (Lot #195,706) | Bring a Trailer

It's a 2008, 4 previous owners, less than 4000 miles.

There was a Porsche on there in the past week or so. A 2022 with 6 previous owners and less than 2k miles.

Anyone know if there's some way the wealthy use purchases like these as a write off. Use them as advertising or something and claim a partial business expense or some charity auction thing. Might explain the low mileage and lack of services. Or its just ego driven impulse buying.

It’s just “right of passage”.

You can’t be one of the “pretty people” unless you have a flashy car that you never drive and know nothing about.

Complete and absolute status symbols.

Much like the morons who spend $10,000.00 or $15,000.00 on a Rolex watch that won’t do anything that a $30.00 Timex won’t do.

In my wicked misspent youth, my very good fake Rolex got me as much action as the real ones got the guys who shelled out the big bucks.

Guess nobody ever told the other side about the 'sweep second hand' thing back then.
