Clay Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Just thought I would show you guys my other collection. I am a huge Transformers fan. I watched it when I was a kid and I still watch the cartoons when I can. I was extatic when they finally came out with a movie and now they are coming out with a sequel. I am so happy!!! Anyway here is only a little bit of my collection. These things are getting more intricut. I am suprised I remember how to transform and combine them. I remember when they were only a few moving parts. Now its in order for this to move that has to move, I mean everything moves!!! Continued in next post.
george 53 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Wow Clay, until the movies came out I wasn't too in the know about Transformers. Do you combine peices(characters) to make ONE vehicle? Or does each individual vehicle makes it's own complete character? Like is the jet looking thingie a SINGLE toy? or is it made up of a coupla different ones? These are neat lookin little toys.
Clay Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 each one is a single toy unless sold in a package together, and you can combine 2 or more to make a bigger robot. these 2 combine to make this
diymirage Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 so were you as upset as i was when they turned bumble bee into a camaro ?

Roadkill2525 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I have two other hobbies... working on my 1986 Camaro IROC-Z, I've run it in a auto-X event with a PCA club and may run a few more events. I also like target shooting at the few ranges here, I own a Mossberg 500A shotgun and Colt Python.
roadhawg Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Pretty impressive collection. Like I had mentioned in another topic, my 5 year old son is really into Transformers. Santa brought him a Bumblebee Camaro, and as soon as he opened it, he unfolded it into a robot, then asked ME to fold it back into a car. "Pffftt", I thought, "How hard could THIS be?" Oh my goodness....that thing is like a Rubiks Cube on crack! I turned and twisted arms and legs for about an hour, and just as soon as I gave it back to him, he unfolded it into a robot again. Good grief! When is the new movie due out?
Clay Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 (edited) so were you as upset as i was when they turned bumble bee into a camaro ? No, wasn't upset about that, I just wish they would stop transitioning out the characters every other series. Pretty impressive collection. Good grief! Hahaha, I know exactly what you mean. My girlfriends 5yo boy does the same thing to me with the couple of Transformers he has. Also, with Lego's. Whenever he gets a new kit he asks me to help build it and within minutes it's crashd into pieces. One of these times I'm going to mess with him and put one together with some Zap-A-Gap. That'll show him!

Now be careful with that though, they have alot of peices that come off. I gave mine a set of these because I have 3 of each of them. And the only thing that comes off is the guns and he doesnt need them anyway. Now as soon as I get a display case for them they will come out of the three level box I made for them when we moved cross country. Edited May 24, 2009 by Clay
george 53 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Thanks for the warning Bro! I WILL keep that kinda stuff in mind when we finally can mess around with that stuff. Those LOOK like the Semi Tractors. Do they combine to make a BIGGER transformer?

beefheart22 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I never got into transformers, more into GI Joe myself. Don't have any left though, they all met their fate when my brother and I discovered that strapping firecrackers to them, or torching them with lighter fluid increased their level of fun more than spring loaded plastic projectiles ever could. These days, I play nicer with my toys. My other hobbies include collecting diecast airliners and NASCAR. Don't know if fishing is a hobby, but that's how I pass many lazy summer days when I can get time off work and get the heck out of the city.
Clay Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 I wish I had played nicer with my toys too. As well as my models that I built those met a glob of model glue and a lighter.... I have one of the 2nd Issue Optimus Primes with the black trailer. Well lets just say that he has battle damage now.... These are just a few of what I got, and even though we live pay check to pay check, I still keep a look out for new ones and grab them every so often.
HotRodaSaurus Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Hi Clay, afraid I am not a real Transformers fan but have you caught the Citroen ad series with the dancing car? Sorry I cant link it to YouTube but I am sure it's on the site and I think it's pretty WoW Maybe someone here could link it. John
ericmaxman Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I do a few other stuff. I have some 1/24 RC cars. Play them once in a while I collect diecast models. I am a gamer. I cycle.
B_rad88 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) what kind of bike do you have? basic mongoose! it has lasted me for the past 5 years now! th only things i replaced was 1 rear rim! Good grief! When is the new movie due out? Rubic's cube on crack, that's a good one! Are you talking about the original ones? Cause the newer Binaltech series are supposedly even more complex. I used to be into Kyosho's 1/28 scale RC cars' known as Mini-Z's but some what lost interest in theme when their prices went up and quality went down a little bit. They used to clear-coat their finely detailed bodies with what we think is Future, but now they use a hand-polishing method and some say it has an orange-peal look to it. I've never seen the new bodies in hand so I really couldn't tell. But Kyosho now has an amazing little high-performance high-tech RC car in 1/43 scale called the Dnano and I'm interested in those. Right now my current hobby is my new Imac computer. I also have a small collection of re-issued G1 Transformers including a very rare Transformer from the Kronoform series which were a small collection of watches that turned into different things. The one I have is a fully-functioning calculator robot watch they named Kaltor and he turns into a little robot. I had one when I was a young teenage and it was fun to play with. I found one mint condition in sealed box in sealed display box on ebay for 200 dollars and had to have it as it was childhood memory. Still have it today proudly displayed with my other TF's and the watch still works great! It's alarm wakes me up every morning. Pretty cool that something like that still works 20 years later! I'd like to start collecting the more advanced die-cast metal Binaltech Transformers and some of the Masterpeice series, but their expensive! The one I really want to get is the white Mazda RX8 "Jazz".
