ChainsawMike Posted Wednesday at 11:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:18 PM (edited) had a fun time with this kit. Paint is a testors light blue enamel. Very happy with how it came out by brushing the paint on. Fitting the frame into the body with the firewall was a bit iffy, had some trouble with that. Front bumper also had a hard time, the radiator was preventing the grill from fitting for me so I had to do a little chopping and such. Nothing too harsh on any visible or engine bay detail. The bumper wouldn't stay on with just Tamiya thin so I had to use some loctite super glue. for some reason my kit didn't come with the tree for the red tailights. Oh well . the rims and tires are either from the Revell 49 mercury kit or the AMT 70 Monte Carlo. Cant remember. but they look super nice!! Happy with this and I just adore the box art on here!! STU111 Posted Thursday at 11:20 AM Posted Thursday at 11:20 AM Nice work. That is a good looking Impala. 👍🏻 I’ve been looking at getting this kit, did it go together well? 1
ChainsawMike Posted Thursday at 03:59 PM Author Posted Thursday at 03:59 PM Get it 100%! especially if its on sale at your local hobby lobby or so. Everything went together very well except the front bumper, but that was due to the Tamiya cement kind of roughing up the plastic in the front for me. quick fix if you got some super glue handy. Very fun kit with little to no issues. Front and back suspension is easy to build aswell.

bisc63 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Turned out very nice, and that simple blue color works perfectly on that body; great choice!! Well done.
