The new season 13 has started. If they finally did find the Treasure, I think that it would have been all over the news.

Wow. To think they've been at it for over 13 years. And are no closer than they were when they started.

Gotta have a hobby I guess.

Although I really wish they would get a new announcer. I can't stand listening to him anymore. His constant repetition of another "significant find", which I know is the writing not him, is really annoying.

I think that certain current political "files" release nonsense was based on the Oak Island model.

Probably what lies at the bottom is just an old trunk with a piece of paper inside: HA HA!. GOTCHA!!

My son plans to be a film-maker. I've told him he should make a short with a clone of Oak Island, with the trucks and drills and sorters & stuff.

He should have a drone shot from overhead where he begins to zoom out. Then, in the background, you see Bill Murray in a rowboat, paddling up to a tiny island behind the focus island (a lot of the overhead shots in the series do, indeed, show islands in the background). 

He gets out of the boat and tries to set an anchor on the beach, but hits something. Digging with bare hands, he discovers a treasure chest with the Holy Grail inside, chucks it in his boat, and paddles away.
