RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted Sunday at 10:08 PM Posted Sunday at 10:08 PM New restoration - 1963 Buick Electra 225 Convertible I've included pics at the end showing what this car looked like the way the original builder built it back in '63. 9
Mike 1017 Posted Monday at 02:52 PM Posted Monday at 02:52 PM Nice. Classic color combo. Personally, I would have left it as is because it reminds me of how I use to build model cars way back when
Carmak Posted Monday at 03:12 PM Posted Monday at 03:12 PM Nice resto. You have been posting a series of nice cars, well done! I am a big fan of 63 Buick Electras. Over the years I have accumulated over a half dozen rebuilders and they are typically missing the front corner lights. Last spring I carefully measured a corner light I did have, and I did a little research on the actual bezel and lens. I did some CAD work and 3D printed replacement parts. The pics show an actual lens with horizontal ribs (the kit piece has a mesh pattern), my CAD design and the initial printed parts compared to original piece. After I took the comparison pic I did a little careful sanding and got the fit almost perfect. Now that I have the corner lights, I am starting to restore some of my collection. Hope it comes out as nice as yours.
Bainford Posted Monday at 03:26 PM Posted Monday at 03:26 PM The Buick looks good in black. Nice save.

junkyardjeff Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Looks great and it seems like every ,60s build has all the extras glued on.
