michelle Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago i find most covers of songs good but there are exceptions though for me mainly when it comes to beatles songs as i have only found a small group of that are good mainly from one tribute band RAIN and a few youtube cover artists one is a group of brothers called reo brothers another is two twin sisters the mona lisa twins as they tend to try and play the song as they originally were either both instrumental sound and vocal cadence and at original tempo or at least with two of those things the tempo and cadence being the same but for any other song i have no issue with any of that it is just beatles songs and john lennon's solo songs since john is my favorite of the 4 members i decide to start this thread feel free to add your own
iamsuperdan Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I won't be clicking any links to ai content. I'd rather support real artists and give them the clicks and the likes. As for cover songs, I like them, but only if the artist doing the covering puts their own spin on the song. I've heard so many covers that are so close to the original, you might as well just listen to the original. For example, a band named Trivium did a cover of Metallica's Master of Puppets. They did an excellent job, but it's so close that I'll always just choose Metallica's version. On the flip side, the cover should at least be recognizable. Judas Priest and their version of Johnny B Goode comes to mind. It's so, so awful. Just...wow. Some cover songs I particularly like: In Flames - Everything Counts Health - Be Quiet and Drive Deftones - Drive Placebo - Running Up That Hill Filter - One (The Loneliest Number) Rammstein - Stripped In Flames - Wicked Game Children of Bodom - Rebel Yell Children of Bodom - Oops I Did It Again Orgy - Blue Monday Faith No More - Easy
