junkyardjeff Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I used them on my 40 Ford sedan made into a hard top and I have never seen them before,I presume they came in the 60s parts I got a couple years ago
Mark Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago AMT '40 Ford coupe and sedan delivery. They're meant to represent Olds Toronado wheel covers.
junkyardjeff Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Those wheels were what I thought of so they had to have came with kits made after 1966.
Mark Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It was '66, AMT started re-boxing Trophy Series kits then. Many of the re-boxings brought some fresh parts into the kits. The Toronado was a big deal (as it should have been), people were looking for things from it to use on other cars. The Deora, for example, has a cut-down Toronado steering wheel. I have seen another street rod or two from that era with Toronado steering wheels.
JollySipper Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I've always liked the scrolling speedometer in the Toronados....... it would make a cool detail on a 1:1 kustom build. Edited 3 hours ago by JollySipper
