Robert81 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Started as a bone stock 56 T-Bird, lowered it added Torque Thrusts, a small hoop Roll bar, and a Monster Ford 427 Cammer. Turned out to be more of a sleeper than I planned, but there isn't much you can do to a two seat Bird. Turns out it has more Hot rod rake then, a tail dragger, I was going for. The Cammer fit with surprising ease, no cutting at all. Just a longer driveshaft, and a set of headers. I love these wheels, None Chrome Torque Thrusts out of the AMT 62 Impala convertible.
Robert81 Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 OK, what Have I done SO wrong that nobody has anything to say about my T-bird? Other forums I have posted this build on liked it, and I don't expect those people to comment here if they are on this forum, too. It's not a rivet counted replica stock, but that is not my style. It doesn't replicate a real car, and it's not suppose to be. what is wrong with it? Lay it to me honestly. I can take bad comments, as well as good.
Foxer Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I like the rake on it ... like there's some huge motor weighing down the front end. "pops the hood" OH MY .. there IS! Looks good in black.. especially with the removable HT on.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Rob I think it's super. I love the 56s better that the 57s. I don't see a thing wrong w. it. Keep it up. Don't ever let the lack of posts discourage you.
carrucha Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 The body color and wheel/tire combo really go well together. I am going to have to try that combo on a future build. Thanks for the idea. carrucha
vizio93 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 i agree with carrucha the wheel/tire combo looks really nice.
crazyjim Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Looks good to me. Who wants to build anything completely stock? I like personalize my reaal vehicles and do the same to the model kits I build. T-Bird with a big cammer. I love it!
