Fuel Coupe Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) We'll be in Florida for a week and will be at Disney all but one of these days. We plan to run up to the Garlits museum(3rd time). I would like to know if there are any good hobby shops in or around Orlando/Kissimee area. Any that you guy recommend? Hook a brotha up!!!! Edited June 1, 2009 by TxRat
1320wayne Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 And just so you know Shane. Rt. 192 is the same road that the entrance to Disney is on, just in the opposite direction. So it shouldn't be too hard to find.
FujimiLover Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 It depends on what your looking for. JR is only good for RC airplane stuff. My favorite hobby shop visiting Florida is the Hobby Town in Melbourne Florida. Although I can't recall exactly which street it's on, but it's a very nice big Hobby Town. It's the only one I know of that has a killer selection of RC stuff including my beloved Kyosho Mini-Z stuff. I wish I could recall exact address for you, sorry. But it's a great one if you find it! I think California is better for hobby stuff though.

crazyjim Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Shane, I frequet Rob's Hobby Shop in Ocala on CR200. It's not too far from Big Daddy's. Want to meet at Big Daddy's? I live about 20 miles away and have never been there.
Fuel Coupe Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 Are you serious Jim, 20 min away and never been. That place is like the Holy Land for me. Yea we can do that. let me figure out what day exactly we will be there. Wont be until mid july for sure though. Guys, I have zero interest in RC stuff(cant afford to take on another hobby) so a well stock MODEL shop is what I'm after. Thanks everyone, Keep'em coming..
gbdolfans Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hi, When I lived in Orlando, colonal photo and hobby was awesome!!! Tons of models,paints,etc... haven't been there for a few years, but you shpuld check it out if you can...
Abell82 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I just moved to Sanford, still trying to find a decent shop, so...
Barbo Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hi..for me the best is Colonial Hobby........Above and Beyond.......Barbo
Tonioseven Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) It depends on what your looking for. JR is only good for RC airplane stuff. They do carry a small selection of Plastic and some supplies as well. I stop in about 4 times a year when I'm up that way and always manage to find something that interests me. I'll definitely have to check out Colonial Hobby the next time I'm up that way. Edited June 2, 2009 by Tonioseven
