Harry P. Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Has there ever been a 1/24 or 1/25 scale kit of an Airflow? Either plastic or resin? Anything???
E St. Kruiser50 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) Has there ever been a 1/24 or 1/25 scale kit of an Airflow? Either plastic or resin? Anything??? Either Danbury Mint or Franklin Mint did a 1/24 two door a few years ago and is stunning. Still can find them on eVil-bay once in a while. DeSoto made an Airflow too, with an incredible grill. Harry, I just checked ebay and there is one on there right now with 3 days 18 hours left to bid on with only one bid so far, but it has a reserve on it and these can be hard to find as they were never for sale, just a promotional when you made another purchase. Probably a little spendy, but you'll never find one better. Edited June 2, 2009 by Treehugger Dave
Hizoot Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Yes, Franklin Mint did one, a beauty in die cast... I think Jimmy Flinstone cast some kinda resin concocktion in his unique style. Hizoot
Harry P. Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 All I can find on ebay are either 1/18 or 1/32...

Type in 1/24 Chrysler Airflow IN THE BOX AT THE TOP, and VOILA - IT SHOULD COME UP. If all else fails Harry, type in this auction #330334846053 in the same upper box. If that fails, send me your email address again and I'll email the link to you. Edited June 2, 2009 by Treehugger Dave

Hizoot The Jimmy Flintstone was called the Rareflow. It was designed by Ed Newton of Big Daddy Ed Roth fame. I made the pattern for Jimmy from Ed's drawings. Needless to say it isn't remotely close to being stock. Hot Wheels did a 1/64th of it. I think an AirFlow in 1/24-5 would be great. I may have to locate one of those Franklin Mints and let it fall into my bucket of rubber.

If you cast them up, keep us posted as I may have an interest myself... Hizoot

nitrojunkie Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Yeah an Airflow would be pretty cool.I'm hoping that if I keep watering my VW someday it might grow up and be an Airflow
