Pete L. Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 fellas, I was of the understanding that Fred Cady is no longer in business. I read his name on another thread and he's mentioned as though he's still crankin' 'em out. Can someone please set me straight ? thanks, Pete

End of story.
Harry P. Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 You still may find Fred Cady decals available here and there (most likely ebay)... but there ain't no more coming...
RyanSilva Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I heard from a good source, that he has STOCK left, not producing, but still has inventory. So..no, not end of story
Modelmartin Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Sorry to disappoint those who know the story because here is the actual story! Fred "officially" retired but he still has a vast inventory and occasionally reprints sold out runs. He mostly sells to several dealers and retailers now but will still fill orders that find their way to his P.O. box. As far as I know he plans to operate this way indefinitely. He did NOT sell off his inventory. He IS still selling decals. He won't be doing new sheets but will reprint old ones. This is all from the horse's mouth as of a few weeks ago.
Pete L. Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 fellas, Thanks for the info guys, my concern is that I get new decals instead of "old" if you know what I mean...Iwonder if anyone could tell us that vendors that he deals with ?

I just e-mailed Fred and will try to get the list for you. If you do get ahold of "old" decals just shoot a coat of crystal clear or brush on some liquid decal film. That will rejuvenate them just fine.
