Smart-Resins Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 alright. I got it done. First, I will admit, not the way I wanted it and I got pretty upset today. I had a wired distributor and starter to go into it and was going to wire the battery box and gaugesect. However my micro drill bits (whole case) is MIA. Last time I used them was in TN. So they may be gobne for good. This is upsetting because I can not afford new ones for sometime being on unemployment. So I am really bummed out because I really want to start wiring my models!! Anyways, without further ado, here are the finished pics from yesterday and today! Thanks. Jody

CB Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Nice to see this finished Jody. It turned out great! Love the color and that scoop on top of the engine. I'm assuming those are decals- the pinstriping etc? They look way fine on that purple. Magor bummer about the missing drill bits. Might try heating up a piece of wire, paperclip, or similar, in the flame of a candle and 'drill' holes with that. I do that on occaision when the drill bits aint applicable. Takes some practise to get everything just right-- how long in the flame, etc. Also, it more often than not creates a ridge buildup around the hole, but sometimes that can be a good effect. If you do try it, practise on somethin' you aint worried about screwing up first... and, of course, hold the wire with pliers or some such thing . In the meantime, hopin' & prayin' you finds your drillbits. Again, congratz on a job well done! I'll bet it looks awesome sittin' on the shelf.
