minitruckermike Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 details: silverado started out as the 99 ex cab model kit. used the grill, bumper and hood from a diecast. full custom frame. air ride suspension setup. 22 inch wheels. custom console with subs. shaved everything. hardbody started out as a pathfinder. cut it in half. made a bed floor and rear cab wall. then went to town shaving everything. full custom frame and air suspension. custom interior. corvette engine. 22 inch wheels.
crazyjim Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 How come you have the hole in the box? Is it to show the rear suspension? Do real trucks do that?
minitruckermike Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 its mostly done so the suspension clears the bed. but also to show off the tubing work. alot of trucks are done this way. look in a minitruckin mag or street trucks mag you will see. thanks for looking
Glen G. Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 both very sweet builds. the pathfinder/hardbody must have been a $#!t load of work. the frame and tube work is amazing! keep on posting, i need some motivation to do my silverado!
minitruckermike Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 glen it was a ton of work to accomplish the hardbody. here is a link to all the pics. http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k35/ptma...san%20Hardbody/
