S. Svendsen Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Just finished this Pinto. It's a rebuild of a half built old AMT Crazy Horse short wheel base funny car model I won off ebay. I used a Multi-Maverick kit to supply a bunch of the missing parts and designed my own custom decals for it. There are more pics and details of the build at the link. Visit My Website
Smart-Resins Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Great stuff. I am supposed to be getting a johan pinto from a friend in a trade soon. I enjoy looking at your build. Jody
RodneyBad Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Cool Beans.. Decals look Great. Very Retro.. Awesome work..
Randy Kern Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Now that is cool, and I laughed out loud when I saw the name! . A neat build, and talk about short wheelbase!!
kingiguana Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Very, very cool build, great decal design! Now lets just hope it doesnt get hit in the rear !
Dragline Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Stunning rebuild!! Captures the whole 70's thing to a T. Colors, execution, design. I'll wager it's a handful at the track! Bob F I've seen many old builds of pricey kits on eBay and have balked. While there is more work to be done in ressurecting an old kit, the results speak for themselves. Perhaps I'll save one yet......
Modelmartin Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Those decals you designed are very cool and period perfect! It looks like a real fun build. Those AMT short funny cars (They did a Vega and Gremlin also) were pretty cool. They probably wouldn't have been NHRA legal for FC but could have run in altered class. Great job.
