George Bojaciuk Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 For years I've been trying to convince a diecast mfg to do wheel and tire sets. Reasons mainly being selfish, since I'm having trouble seeing to paint the white letters. GMP has finally come thru with their first set of Shelby wheels and tires in 1:24th. I sent Gregg the pic because for some reason I can't post a pic here (password protected or something). If you'd like to see them shoot me an email and I'll send you the pic. Retail will be $9.95. If someone would post the pic here, that would be great! Thanks!
Steve H. Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 send me a pic, I'll post it for you. Modelcarguy2003@yahoo.com
Steve H. Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Now you need to convince them of the need for a set of Chevy Rallyes!
Gregg Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I don't know what's wrong with that new Add image to post link on bottom of post/text box. Strange......
George Bojaciuk Posted November 24, 2006 Author Posted November 24, 2006 Thanks Gregg....just noticed that. Guess I can't bug you anymore for not knowing me! LOL! It was fun while it lasted. I know you might be saying that these wheels and tires look great in the package but what do they look like on a model?...here they are mocked up on a Revell Bullitt.
MrObsessive Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Wow! I've got to get me a set of those!! 8) They would look sooooooo nice under a '67 Shelby I have planned down the road!
oldcars Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I'm lost. They look great but where can they be bought?
George Bojaciuk Posted November 24, 2006 Author Posted November 24, 2006 They are available thru GMP. www.gmpdiecast.com Go to the products page then look under accessories. They have a bunch of 1:18th wheel and tire sets and this one. If you want your local supplier to carry them, have them give the sales guys at GMP a call on Monday. This is the first set and if this goes well there are a lot more that can be done. If you have ever lettered a set of tires you'll know that even the pre-printed tires alone are worth the price of admission.

If so what did you use for the trim for the vinyl roof?

Len Woodruff Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I used Stainless....it's my real car. Beautiful Car Gearge. I had a 68 SS 396 and my current car is a 78 Silver Anniversery Corvette that I have had for the last 25 Years.
George Bojaciuk Posted November 24, 2006 Author Posted November 24, 2006 Very Nice! I had a '93 40th Coupe. Sold it and bought the Chevelle. You should have seen the look on my wife's face when she saw the Chevelle in the garage!
