Guest arni Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 This started off as a standard taxi but I chopped the roof.Turned it into a panel truck, altered the headlights, modified the floor-it was a motorised kit! Fitted a Ferrari 612 engine and it was sprayed Rover tara green.
george 53 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Nigel, that's just plain ol COOL! Is that a plastic model or resin? It would be neet ta see somethin like that at the Detroit Auto-rama! Not one of yer everyday sights here in Deeetroit, THAT'S for sure! Great job on it, simple, but effective! I know I'd NEVER think there was a Ferrari engine in that pup!!! Came out REAL cool,I likes it!!!!
Guest arni Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Cheers George,it was a plastic kit by a company called IMAI.Here she is part way through the roof chop.

Foxer Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 That's cool .. but my brain keeps trying to see it in black.. .. the paint alone makes it a worthwhile build. ))
Janne Herajärvi Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 That is very nice and differend build! I want that kit too You did great job with it!
HotRodaSaurus Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 That is very nice and differend build! I want that kit too You did great job with it! Hi, just a quick note, I think Revell Germany used the molds as well. Probably quite old now as this version of the 'London' Black Cab(1:1) has been modified a few years back. They still prowl the streets but the new cab is more commuter friendly with disabled access. John

John HeHe,you ought to see some of the scrappers in service in Belfast John..Think they get punted out from Liverpool and so on,there are a few on '89 G plates-and legit too! Any idea on when R.O.G. last sold these kits?
