Steven Zimmerman Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Ryan, there was a tradition in days past, for there to be a pre dawn swap meet in the parking lot next to the Red Roof inn. Sometimes it was big, sometimes it was not.....I've known people that sold parts of their stash here in the wee hours of the morn on saturday,to raise enough money to go to the NNL,others just selling before the'Toledo' swap meet, hoping to get a head start on the mad rush,so to speak. Anywhoo,I've gone every year, and picked up a bargain ( or 4 or 5 or...) so it's worth it for me. Plus, seein El Camino Billy with his flashlight hat,and meetin people in the frosty dark when ya oughta be catchin up on yer beauty sleep is just....NEET !!
Tom Jackson Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Parking Lot Swap then We go out for Breakfast . Then to the show

PatRedmond Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 Steve Z.............. No Billy this year. He's skipping this year. The restaurant, Brandy's, right there at the parking lot sale site, has a good breakfast for us early risers. NOTE -- Bring a flashlight for the sale. The parking lot lights do NOT come on until it's too late.
JHDrew Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Will be there Pat. Have nothing to show as it's been a crappy year. The house will be open Friday night as well. Tony Packo's chicken chilli...
hippie6 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 (edited) I'm sure you guys have a regular place for breakfast, but you really should try the STAR DINER. There is a couple of 'em around Toledo..( one on Dussell , close to the old rec center and at least 2 more in town) excellent food, good prices and the waitstaff basically wears the same thing that the Hooters girls wear!! Is there gonna be any kind of meet and greet for the people from the board?? Name tags to wear or anything like that?? Edited September 29, 2009 by hippie6

george 53 Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Fella's I was lookin at a map from google, an instead of comin in down 75 from Deeetroit, what yas think bout comin into Sylvania down 23???? I can catch BOTH I 75 AND I 94 from my house, And I go 94 to 23 to go to Milan Dragway, So, Anybody got any ideas? I jus don't like all the interchange B/S ya gotta go thru in Toledo. I'd rather go a less hectic route, even if it is a little longer. I won't get there till the time the NNL opens, caz I'm not too interested in the toy show. Hope ta see you guys there, God willing my simple a$$ don't get LOST!
george 53 Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Anybody??? Anyone try this route before? Could use some help here guys.
