Thor
Custom Hearse Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 There was one owned by Circus Circus, called Circus Circus Hobbies, but I don't think it's there anymore... And I think remember another one around 20th and Fremont street. Best thing to do would be to check Google or Yahoo search for "Las Vegas hobby shops.
LVZ2881 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I'm in Vegas..best shop is Hobbytown on Sahara/Decatur... there's also a shop way out in Henderson called Henderson Hobbies. and there's Dansey's on the eastside, you's have to look it up to get the address....
Rich Cummings Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Dansey's is at the corner of Lamb and Charleston.
Peter Lombardo Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Thor, let me understand this…this is your first trip to the USA, AND it is to Vegas for the SEMA show and you want model car parts? Look I love model building as much as the next guy, but hey, you are going to Vegas! Spend your time and money enjoying everything that Vegas has to offer….it is the most exciting playground in the America. The parts will always be available by mail order…..the fun of Vegas, not so much. Go and have a great time at SEMA and enjoy the show, and by that I mean that all of Vegas is a show….the people, the visitors, the casino’s, the restaurants, the shows and 24 hour party…have some fun…get your parts later. Look, if you were coming to Pittsburgh or Cleveland or some other Midwest city I’d say sure, find a well stocked hobby shop…but you’re are going to Vegas during a huge convention, there will be plenty of diversion from model building and model supplies…have a great time.
Gregg Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Thor, I will be there Thursday and Friday call me 808.754.1378 Thursday morning, I arrive around 8:00 a.m. or so. My friend also lives in Vegas (He used to work at the Hobbytown USA shop mentioned). SEMA is great, I love going, getting so many ideas, getting to meet everyone. I hope to stop by Ed's hobby shop in Henderson also.
FujimiLover Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I've been to Vegas once, but never to SEMA. I'd love to go to SEMA if/when I can ever afford it. Don't they sell model's as well? Might find same stuff there, I don't know.
my80malibu Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 There is a Hobbytown in Clark county which has lots of kits and some cool diecast stuff, but not much in the way of detailing supply. It is geared mostly for the RC and train guys. Across the street is a place called Hobby People, they have some current kits at decent prices they are both worth a look.
Thor Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 hi. thanks for the replies. I have decided to visit hobbytown and danseys bescuse they seems to have alot of kits and supplies. And i are going to have fun in vegas and sema. i`m landing in LA on the 31th oct and going to visit some shops on my trip (foose, classic industries, socal speedshop, muroc) thru deathvalley then end up in vegas for sema. excuse my english Later Thor
LVZ2881 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Pegasus is a must see if you are driving thru LA, it blows the Vegas hobby shops out of the water!!!
my80malibu Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Pegasus is such great place to go, It has it all. I was truly impressed with their shop, if you can make it there you should.
Thor Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 I looked at the homepage of Pegasus and its huge form what i`m used to here in Norway. i checked out the maps and its only 12-15 minutes from the socal speed shop. i will try my best to pay them a visit. Other wise i think get alot of my hobby needs at the hobbytown in vegas wich i`m going to stay a few days longer than LA ps. is there any Ford Falcon owners in here that i can team up with in vegas? i got a 1960 2dr and a 1961 4dr 1:1 cars Thor
my80malibu Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Pegasus has more Aftermarket Items than Hobbytown in vegas I have been to both stores. For example pegasus has resin from Replicas and minatures of maryland,Detail master, Model car garage and Paint from house of colors. plus some very cool kits. I live in Arizona Los Angeles is about an 8 hour drive and vegas is about 5 hours and if I had a choice I would go to Pegasus. You Might Even get to meet Snoop Dogg. while you are there
Thor Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 hi just found out i`m able to get som time at pegasus hobbies i`m looking forward see the shop and spend some cash
