Car Crazy 81
Heres another one of my newest projects that im slowly getting started my plans for this one is: Bronze paint with "Super Bee" C-stripes, 426 ci Hemi engine with a 4-speed, Dogdish wheels , Dana 60 rear axle, Black interior with bucket seats & a pistol-grip shifter. What ya'll think i wanted to go different since i havent seen any bronze metallic Super Bees. The paint im using is Rust-Oleum "Metallic" Copper to replicate the original Bronze Metallic. my name is nobody
Great job so far. My very first 1:1 was a '70 Super Bee. Same color. Have even built a replica of her, using the Fred Cady decal sheet. and MCW Dark Burnt Orange Metallic paint. my car was a stripe delete. just had a Super Bee decal on the quarter panel. I have a great fondness for this model Dodge. Edited December 23, 2009 by CJTORINO
whale392
Just started building mine today. Thanks for the inspiration and yours looks good so far. Depending on your ultimate interior color choice, I would either go with the White Bumble Bee stripe (for a light or two tone black/white interior) or the Black Bumble Bee stripe (for a dark interior). Railfreak78
I'll be watching this one. I did one of these years ago and love them. Not to mention how many mopar kits use this chassis and engine bay build it makes them set up great for detail.
oldscool
Somehow I have missed this thread up until now. Looks really good in that color. Was getting kind of burned out on blue and Sublime. oldscool - nightstalker
Car Crazy 81
I'd decided to go with the black C-stripe so it wouldnt look too plain jane. What ya'll think.

The paint that i'd used on the Bee is Rust-Oleum "Metallic" Copper which i'd bought from Wal-Mart its right out of the can. It can be also found at Home-Depot & Lowes.I didnt have any problems with it i'd primed the body with Valspar Primer Gray which is an enamel. This is some good paint i'd would recommend this to anyone. Edited March 3, 2010 by LSU Fan 1981
