Nick Winter Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I'm looking to try something new, some Big Rigs.
Jim B Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 If this doesn't work out for you, head over to your LHS and pick up the Revell USA (Monogram) Peterbilt 359 Snap Tite kit. Don't knock it because it's a snap kit. It's quipte well detailed, builds out nicely, and it's a good way to "get your feet wet" in truck modeling. Good luck, and welcome to Big Rig Modeling!

I think a similar Kenworth is supposed to come out later this year as well.
Jim B Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Yes, the W900 Aerodyne is supposed fo be out in November (I think). I just hope it isn't molded in the green thay've been showing on their Web site.
CFnutcase Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 I would take the green over the orange it came out in a few years ago! You could not cover the orange with anything! It was terrible!!! Jim
Jim B Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Oh, great! I have an orange one in the stash right now that I'm planning on building next. I hope black will cover it.
Nick Winter Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 Oh, great! I have an orange one in the stash right now that I'm planning on building next. I hope black will cover it. A friend of mine hooked me up with two Monogram 1/32 scale T600's
Jim B Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Those a nice little kits. I had a problem with the rear wheels staying on the axle.
SpreadAxle Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Oh, great! I have an orange one in the stash right now that I'm planning on building next. I hope black will cover it. I imagine it would. I know yellow won't. The orange was a pain to paint over, but it can be done.
Aaronw Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 You can try white shellac, it seems to seal everything, wood, water stains, cigarette smoke etc. If you need a spray can BIN brand has it in a spray can.
chuckyr Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 A light coat of grey primer, I use Krylon and then when dry two light coats of Testors white primer.
